Evan Wontor, MSF – Investment Operations and Trading Associate

Evan brings extensive experience in investment management and trading operations to Sowell Management. Working alongside the firm’s investment leadership, he supports portfolio implementation, trading and the day-to-day operations that help advisors serve their clients. He combines an analytical approach with a focus on improving processes and building the operational capacity to support growth.

Before joining Sowell, Evan served as an Investment Operations and Trading Specialist at XY Planning Network, where he helped expand trading operations and supported advisors through portfolio rebalancing, tax-aware trading and investment model implementation. Previously, he served as Investment Manager at Capital Wealth Advisory Group, an Ameriprise Financial practice, where he led an investment committee, developed portfolio models and worked closely with firm leadership to improve investment operations.

Evan earned a Master of Finance from the College for Financial Planning and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international business from the University of Wisconsin–Superior.

He lives in Wisconsin’s Driftless Region with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys traveling throughout the United States and abroad, exploring different cultures and experiencing new places. Closer to home, he makes the most of Wisconsin’s changing seasons, spending time outdoors whenever he can.
