Jeffery Powell joined Sowell Management in August 2025 as IT Systems Administrator. In this role, he supports client technology needs, application integrations, and desktop and network systems — always with the goal of making everyone’s day better.

Jeffery brings more than 20 years of IT leadership, including serving as Chief Information Officer for the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. Earlier, he spent 25 years with Cameron, a Schlumberger company, where he managed IT operations, business systems analysis, and process improvement initiatives that delivered more than $500,000 in cost savings. Over the course of his career, Jeffery has leveraged Six Sigma methods to achieve more than $750,000 in measurable efficiencies. He holds an Associate of Applied Science and Technology from Southern Technical College in Little Rock and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Originally from North Little Rock, Jeffery has deep Arkansas roots. Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance motorcycle rallies, off-roading in his Jeep (number seven, and counting), and playing disc golf — a sport he’s been hooked on since he was thirteen. A proud dad, Jeffery’s daughter is 26 and holds a master’s in accounting. Known around the office for his friendly spirit, Jeffery is also an avid St. Louis Blues hockey fan and never turns down good Mexican food.
