Darrell Horn
Founder and Senior Managing Director

With over 25 years of experience, Darrell serves in a strategic advisory role with GS Equity Income Strategy. Darrell is a member of the firm’s executive committee, investment committee and board of directors.  Prior to founding Green Square, he held positions at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities division as well as the Private Client Services unit. Darrell also served as the Senior Vice President of SunTrust Bank and the Executive Vice President and head of Capital Markets and a member of the Executive Management Committee for First American Bank in Nashville, Tennessee. Darrell received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Mississippi State University and a Master of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University. Darrell holds the Series 65 license.


Richard manages the operations of Green Square, responsible for financial reporting, executing strategic initiatives, and creating, monitoring, and testing policies. He was also the CFO and CCO of Center Coast Capital Advisors in Houston, TX. He has overseen open-end mutual fund launches, Private Funds, and Fund of hedge Funds. Before joining Green Square & Center Coast in 2009, he was an executive vice president at the Spectra Group (real estate development) and he started his career at Ernst & Young in finance and accounting. Richard received his Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College and his Master of Business Administration from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University.


James has been portfolio manager for the GS Equity Income Strategy since inception and is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the strategy. James is the Chief Investment Officer and a member of Green Square’s Investment Committee. James joined Green Square in 2006 after ten years at First Tennessee Bank – the majority of which in its Trust Department. He left First Tennessee as Senior Vice President and was the Trust Investment Manager for the West Tennessee, Nashville and Mid-Atlantic areas managing approximately $900 million in assets. James received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Virginia. James is a CFA charter holder.
