James Campbell Woods Jr.
Solutions Consultant
James Campbell Woods Jr., affectionately known as Campbell by his friends and colleagues, became part of the Sowell Management team in 2023, assuming the vital role of solutions consultant. In this position he adeptly serves as a liaison between clients and advisors. It’s a job perfectly suited for his skill set. A spirited and dynamic young professional, Campbell possesses natural communication skills and an exceptional knack for solving problems. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, he is a proud graduate of Catholic High School for Boys and The University of Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. He also holds a Life and Health Insurance License in the state of Arkansas and is a proud Eagle Scout.
For the last eight years Campbell has worked in the account management brokerage business. Initially, he delved into the food brokerage business, representing companies including Tyson, Smuckers, Dr. Pepper and Land O’ Lakes. He then transitioned to employee benefits, covering everything from health, dental, life and disability coverage. Campbell attributes his achievements in business to his commitment to clients and an appreciation for relationship development. He learned early, he says, to “concentrate on the things he can control and limit the influence of the factors he can’t,” enabling him to prioritize what is truly important.
Campbell joined Sowell Management for the opportunity to form meaningful and lasting relationships with clients and coworkers. He values the company’s commitment to fostering a collaborative environment, nurturing a positive culture and pursuing shared success. As a man who lives by the best advice he ever received – “Change your thinking and change your life,” – he works hard every day to develop himself personally and professionally. And when he’s not at work, Campbell can be found spending time with his dog, Freddie, or cheering for his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks or Dallas Cowboys. He’s also consistent about working out, if for no other reason than he can frequent his favorite restaurant guilt free – Raising Canes Chicken.
